MICRONEEDLING IN RIVERSIDE, CA
What Is Microneedling?
When home skin treatments aren’t proving effective, but you aren’t ready for surgical procedures, try minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatments, such as microneedling. Our team is pleased to offer microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) at our office in Riverside, CA. Microneedling uses many fine-gauge needles to safely and effectively create micro-injuries in the needed areas of the skin. The micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural production of elastin and collagen, two nutrients that boost the appearance and health of your complexion. Often performed with other treatments, such as serums or PRP (platelet-rich plasma), microneedling may help minimize scars, stretch marks, and pores. Make an appointment for a consultation at Bloom Aesthetics Riverside to learn more about the benefits of microneedling and how to personalize the treatment for your skin concerns and goals.

- Benefitting the overall health and appearance of your skin

- Evening out skin tone and texture

Am I A Good Candidate?
You may benefit from microneedling if you experience light to mild skin problems, like a decrease in firmness or an uneven texture. Collagen induction therapy treatments may also minimize the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and pores. You should be willing to wait before seeing the results of your microneedling treatment because the elastin and collagen require a month or longer to have an impact on the skin; however, you will see natural-looking results and gain healthier overall skin.
How Does Microneedling Work?
Collagen induction therapy with microneedling is completed in one of our private procedure rooms in about 30 – 60 minutes with numbing cream or local anesthesia if desired; however, patients generally experience little or no pain and discomfort. The skin being treated will be cleaned before the handpiece is passed evenly over. After the microneedling is complete, a topical treatment, such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or serum with a vitamin infusion, may be applied for deeper penetration of the nutrients into the skin. A moisturizer selected for your skin type will be massaged in, along with sunscreen because your skin will be more sensitive after the treatment.
